Basically it boils down to this: Al Gore is a marketing genius, but otherwise a damn fraud. All the "science" and "data" pointing to anthropogenic (human-caused) climate change has been a bunch of bullshit all along. Thank god for whistleblowers.

Over 31,000 scientists have signed a petition agreeing that "There is no convincing scientific evidence that human release of carbon dioxide, methane, or other greenhouse gases is causing, or will in the foreseeable future cause catastrophic heating of the Earth's atmosphere and disruption of the Earth's climate."

Grr! None of the videos are showing up on my computer. Oh well. I've heard other scientists say this in the past as well. Since the temperature of the planet regularly fluctuates it's difficult to accurately measure what we've done. Still, I'd rather see us go down the road of less pollution and alternative fuels.

While I don't believe that climate change is caused by humans (and thankfully am no longer the only one!), I do believe that all the solutions to it - alternative fuels, renewable energy, etc etc - are all still important and viable for their own sake. There are so many other, better reasons than climate change to pursue these avenues, and I really hope that doesn't get lost in all the hoopla.
